its a question about my friends hair. how do they get those curly geled styles. my friends have curly hair and if they dont, they curl its and then gel it then it looks wet and damp. they say the scrunch it alot.
Can someone plllzzzz help mee!!?
This is what my friend does. She has really curly hair and her hair always looks good. First, while her hair is wet, she takes a bit of gel, rubs it all over her hands, and runs her fingers all through her hair, almost as if she's combing the gel in with her fingers. She does this until she has coated every curly lock with gel, then she allows it to dry. The out come when it dries are these beautiful curls that look defined and somewhat wet, but they are dry when you touch them. Don't comb or brush the gel in your hair, though. do it with your fingers. I hope I helped.

Defuse your hair after you take a shower. don't use too much gel either, because that gets its too crunchy and it looks wet.

It's a lot of work if you have naturally straight hair. I reccomend using a 1/4" barrel curling iron or curlers. If using curlers: set your hair wet and use 1/2" sections of hair for each curler. coat each section in gel and curl. Sleep in the curls and hair spray the curls after. Do not brush. If using a curling iron: use 1/2" sections of either dry or slightly damp hair (it doesn't matter). Coat each section with a thin layer of hair gel. Then coil the curl up to your scalp and pin it there. When you've done your whole head, let the curls down and spray it. Your friends say they scrunch a lot because they must have some natural curl to their hair and all they're doing is adding gel to their hair an blow drying it upside down while scrunching. If that hasn't worked for you, then you'll have to go with the time consuming alternative above.
