OKAY!! I really have a BAD hair problem...PLEASE FOR THE LOVE OF ALLAH, GOD AND BUDDHA HELP ME!?

I recently got my hair dyed with blue highlights.

I then was worried about the way I looked.

A couple of hours later I felt EUPHORIC at the way she had styled my hair it sooo gorgeous and my never had before looked like that! She had straightened it! It's usually bushy and thick - don't like that...

I slept the night peacefully and I had been EXTREMELY CHUFFED with my new hairdo! I mean it looked so Japanese!

Anyway a day later it went back to it's usual self (bushy, curly) and so I tried straightening it myself and it looked like an afro! What the hell went wrong?

When she styled it she had used ceramic straightners (I think) and when I did it I used the metal ones and it went all frizzy!

I want to make a statement to all the people in my school because it's a new look for me but with it all frizzy all I'm gonna get is cartons of juice thrown at me!

Please help what can I use to flatten it? ANY product wil do it just has to make it look less frizzy

Lol, I hope you don't get juice thrown at you. I have some advice for you, but as it sounds like you are high school I don't know if it well help as both of the things that know of that may help are costly.

First- Use a Chi hair straignater. They are what are used in the salons and they do the best job. I don't know how they differ from other ones, but I have tryed a ton of other ones befor caving in and getting one and none of the others worked as well as it. They run around $100.00 ( yeah I know, OUCH), but they work well. 2ed of all I use a spray product called "aquage beyond shine", you spray it on your hair befor you flat iron it and it makes it super soft and shiney.

Use a good flattening product or even Vaseline on your hair to tone down the frizz.

Get a ceramic straightener if you can afford it.

For starters, wash it with conditioner and gentle shampoo. Wait a day or two before trying to straighten it again. Next time use a Wet 2 Straight (buy one at target) on a middle setting to flatten your hair. Good luck...

(DO NOT USE VASELINE ON YOUR HAIR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!)

Wet down your hair completely, and then straighten it. Then do whatever you need to with it.

You need to use a ceramic straightener and a heat protectant to prevent the frizz. Metal straighteners don't get hot enough. Don't use Vaseline and don't do it when your hair is wet. It will only last a day or so.

Keep in mind that if you straighten your hair this way every day eventually it will get damaged, even with a protectant. I finally learned to live with curly hair and style it that way after years of straightening. Find a good stylist and read the book "Curly Girl." You can get it on Amazon.

Chis are good and I had a couple but the power cords kept failing. i switched to a Sedu ceramaic iron and it was actually better.

Get a silicon syrum such as Chi "Silk", put about a little over a dime size on your hair before you dry it. After drying (make sure your hair is bone dry before you straighten) take small pieces of hair and straighten from the root - pull the hair away from the head, don't twist the straightening iron, and run it slowly down the hair shaft to the ends. Once it's all straightened, finish with a silicon based spray, I use Biosilk Silk Therapy by Farouk, spray VERY sparingly, and hold the can a few inches from your head, just short spritzes. Both of these products are very concentrated. Look for a ceramic straightening iron, if you can. They're smoother. I find the one inch wide iron is best for me, easier to handle. Give your iron some time to heat up, and if your hair is super thick, give it a chance to reheat after straightening a few pieces. My hair is like yours, and once straightened it stays that way until I wash it again.
