Help with perm?

I just got a perm for the first time. I know I have to wait three days to shampoo it, but I have no clue what kind of ways or what products you use to style curly/permed hair. Any suggestions?

styling aid=redken ringlet, redken all soft shampoo/conditioner, or curls rock shampoo/cond. also NEVER style curly hair when its dry. pick then scrunch it when damp or wet. it will FRIZZ BIG TIME if you do this when its dry I hope this advice is helpful.

thers not anything wrong with using a curling iron, or the pink hair lotion (thats the name of hte lotion PINK) grease is a msut for ur scalp, and heated hair stuff wont hurt u, curlers, or spry ons aren't bad either. pretty much anything is good or ok for ur hiar EXCEPT for unbranded things. don't worry about it!!! im 12 years old and i've had a total of 7 perms in my life. my moms a hair stylist, and sometimes my aunt does it 2, and nothing ever goes wrong. after i have a perm i usally just wear it down, and enjoy combing through it. o and shaking it, and showing it off, lol! well, anyway hope this helps u out.

Anyway, I would recommend you buying a mousse. Almost every hair brand has one. Maybe even a shampoo especially for curly hair (i know Herbal Essences has one called "Totally Twisted") Simply shampoo, condition, and while hair is still wet, "scrunch" it with mousse. Or if you have a curling iron, you can curl your hair every once in a while (not too often, heat + perm= major hair damage). I hope you realize that perms are strong chemicals so don't apply heat to your hair too much or dye it.
